Jesus is the greatest and most glorious object of all biblical teaching, He is in fact the composition of all that is biblical teaching, He is the Word that became flesh (John 1:1&14), He is the way to the Father (John 14:6), the Light to the world and to His children’s feet (John 8:12, Psalm 119:105), the only means of eternal salvation (Acts 4:12), the only means to be reconciled to God (propitiation, 1 John 4:10).

In 1 Timothy, Paul wrote of Christ being the good news, there is no gospel apart from Christ, any teaching contrary to Him is to be judged, but,  we preach Christ:

…the gospel of the glory of the blessed God…

1 Timothy 1:11

He is the revelation of God to man (Revelation 1:1, John 14:7&9) :
Revealing God’s mercy, kindness, purity, holiness, sovereignty, righteousness, omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, judgment of all evil and disobedience, discipline of His children, promises of God from before creation to the new heavens and new earth, and much more…
As mentioned earlier, John wrote of God revealed in Christ Jesus, in his gospel at 1:14

The Word became flesh & made His dwelling among us.
We have seen His glory,
the glory of the one & only Son from the Father,
full of grace & truth.

and again in 14:9, where he wrote of Jesus as saying:

…Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. …

Mankind, having been created in His image, is also responsible to express His glory through obedience, after the example of Jesus, as we’re told in John 15

You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will remain—so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

John 15:16

God’s children are called and enabled to bear fruit for God’s glory through Jesus Christ His Son. There is no other way to God, Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life. But although this is fact, some congregations prefer to hear and teach only portions of Christ, they don’t want to hear or teach soteriology (salvation), eschatology (end times), God’s sovereignty, man’s responsibility in ministry, men and women’s submission to God’s authority, spiritual accountability, spiritual maturity, and many other doctrines, which some argue should not be preached or discussed, as they are said to create division or are thought to be non essentials; so instead of the Word, many teach from humanistic and theological texts, this starves those in the congregations who don’t do their own study. As secular doctrine increases, congregations diminish both spiritually and numerically. Secular doctrine attempts to amalgamate light with darkness, in preference to God’s doctrine which divides, by separating light from darkness, just as God did right from the start of creation as recorded in Genesis 1:4:

And God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness.

Some talk of finding peace in your garden, with no mention of Christ, they’ve used the word “maturity” at “bible studies” while paralleling the Word of God with children’s secular cartoon shows, they’ve used a children’s cartoon picture of Easter bunny surrounded by bible verses to teach adults about Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection, while completely missing the glory of Christ the Messiah, they teach the traditions of man with numerous references from theologians writings, instead of the Word of God. A woman once told me that no one can preach the full counsel of God, but this isn’t what Paul taught us by his example:

For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

Acts 20:27

She said that if we applied 1 Timothy 2-3, the doors of their congregations would all have to stay closed, but Paul didn’t teach us to preach what is acceptable to man, he said:

I give you charge in the sight of God, who quickens all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
That you keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Timothy 6:13-14

A church leader said “I don’t want to hear about eschatology!”, and yet eschatological doctrine is present in 30% of the Bible, we’re told in Revelation 1:3

Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Paul again by instruction from God, instructed Timothy, to hold fast to teaching the truth:

I charge you therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:1-3

Many teach that we can either choose to receive or reject a “gift of salvation”, its taught by some as “Christian option”, they teach this instead of telling people that God commands men everywhere to repent, obedience to God is not presented by God as an option for men or for His heavenly beings.

The preacher in one congregation said “we don’t have communion regularly because: it should only be held as often as the sacrement of baptism, and we don’t want to be compared with the Roman Catholic organisation, and there are people from varied denominations here so we don’t want to submit them to the practice and offend or confuse them.”, none of these reasons are scriptural.

It is only through the Word of God that God’s will is known, it divides soul from spirit, His Word does this when it’s delivered with the power of Holy Spirit.

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

16  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

The whole counsel of God is to be preached, this is Christ. When Christ is preached, the saints are strengthened and saved from sin.

Pay close attention to your life and to your teaching. Persevere in these things, for by so doing you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

1Timothy 4:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

God wants us to know the peace that surpasses all understanding, to live in the hope of His promises, to know the power of His Word and be the salt of the earth and lights in this dark world. To be looking for the glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Governing our lives by all of His Word.

For when for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

For every one that uses milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Hebrews 5:12-14

I pray in Jesus name that we are transformed by God’s Word, to be who God planned us to be from before the foundation of the world, that we are immersed in His Word, ready to give an account of the hope that is in us, to any one who asks.
