A question was asked:
“Do you think that persons activity was demonic?”

There are many evil actions performed and evil words spoken that are not always necessarily a matter of demonic activity. Many people blame the Devil for their or others actions and words; but notice that in the following verses the accountability for wrong isn’t attributed to the Devil, even though he or his demonic servants may have been active in promoting the opportunity to sin:

Romans 14:12
So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he has done, whether it be good or bad.

When Adam and Eve first sinned, Adam blamed Eve: “The man said, ‘The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate.’, and Eve blamed the Devil: “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”, but despite the Devils influence in the situation, both Adam and Eve were held accountable for the decision they made to submit to the temptation.
When an evil spirit went to King Saul while David was in his presence, Saul had already expressed hatred toward David previously and was sitting with a javelin in his hand contemplating killing him, so the evil spirit assisted Saul’s evil desire against David.

1 Samuel 18:8 And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom? And Saul eyed David from that day and forward. 10 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul’s hand. 11 And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice.

When the Devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11), there was nothing in Jesus to desire the temptations offered, some have said that Jesus could have sinned, but didn’t, James 1 tells the truth of the matter:

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

Christ can’t give in to temptation, but not so with you, I or Saul; he’d been jealous and hateful of David, he was harbouring evil thoughts, and so he gave place for evil temptation to be realised.
We’re told to reject the evil desires of our flesh so that we live in the joy and peace of the Spirit of God, producing fruit for God’s glory.

Romans 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

When others who claim to be followers of Christ express and act evilly, the best place to be, is away from them, just as David ran from Saul. When our heart desires evil, deny it, confess the thought to God, and fill it with God’s word and your mouth with praise to God from the start of each new day onward. Where the heart is meditating on God’s word day and night, there’ll be no place for evil to rest and grow, but rather, the goodness of the heart will overflow through Christ, and benefit others also.

Psalm 57:6
They set a net for my steps; my soul was bowed down.
They dug a pit in my way,
but they have fallen into it themselves. Selah
My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast!
I will sing and make melody!
Awake, my glory! Awake, O harp and lyre!
    I will awake the dawn!
I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations.
10 For your steadfast love is great to the heavens,
    your faithfulness to the clouds.
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth!
